Highway tolls in Turkey
Motorways in Turkey are charged via a toll system that scans the passage of vehicles through toll gates and deducts tolls from the account registered for the vehicle/chip. Vehicles moving on the motorway shall be fitted with an HGS chip sticker or an OGS on-board unit for identification at toll gates. HGS chips operate in prepaid mode and are on sale at petrol stations and Turkish Post branches.
