Most motorways are charged for motor vehicles with a weight of less than 3.5 t in Slovakia. It is distributed in electronic form and can be purchased in addition to the usual points of sale before traveling via the Internet. Drivers are required to hold a valid vignette for two-track vehicles with a maximum authorized weight of up to 3.5 tons and trailers cat. O1 and O2. The toll payment for vehicles with a maximum authorized weight over 3.5 t, for which motorways, expressways and some 1st, 2nd and 3rd class roads are charged, is carried out through the emyto.sk system and the electronic on-board unit.
